Continuing its expansion in the Global solar energy market, photovoltaic module manufacturer Helius Sunlink PV has announced the launch of the HELIUS Genesis 615W ZBB panels with zero busbar technology.
According to the manufacturer, market demands has guided the R&D (Research and Development) team in developing new products that meet local needs and launching new technologies.
The first shipments of the new models has already taken place, and the products have been available since May in several countries. Helius explains that the new technology involves using ultra-thin, nearly imperceptible busbars that continuously conduct electric current between the cells.
“With this new technology, we can generate more energy by reducing the coverage of the cells by the busbars. As a result, there is an increase in efficiency, ensuring excellent performance even on cloudy days. Additionally, in terms of aesthetics, the thinning of the busbars gives the module a much more sophisticated appearance,” highlights Eduard Krummenauer, country manager of Helius Sunlink PV.
Krummenauer also pointed out the lower final cost of the module with zero busbar technology. “By using ultra-thin busbars, there is a reduction in the use of conductive metals such as copper, silver, and tin, which reduces the final cost of the product,” he notes.
